World Cup 2018 - How the Bid was Won
On Thursday 3rd June starting at 5:30pm till 7:30pm in the Ramada Encore Hotel, CMK. Ann Limb, Chair of the MK2018 Board will present on how the bid was put together, the issues that were tackled and share moments of triumph and the ongoing impact the success brings to Milton Keynes. If you would like to attend please book by either contacting 01908 259000 or email theevents@mk-chamber.co.uk . Chamber booking costs apply - £12 members, £18 non-members which include drinks and nibbles.

John Lewis to Leave Milton Keynes Partnership
John Lewis, chief executive of Milton Keynes Partnership (MKP), currently on secondment to the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) as acting director of new ventures and partnerships, has announced that he is to leave the Agency for a new post as chief executive of Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation. For more information see: www.miltonkeynespartnership.info

Recently reported in the MK News Cec Tallack is set to be made leader of the Liberal Democrats on Tuesday 25th May. Isobel McCall to be appointed as party chairman with Sam Crooks to return to his previous finance remit; Rosemary Drewett to be cabinet member for children’s services; Chris Williams retains housing and takes on community safety; Vanessa McPake is to represent transport; Jenni Ferrans stays with Regeneration; Mike Galloway retains environment and planning and Sam Potts becomes the new cabinet member for social care.
