Beefy’s Great Forget-Me-Not Walk – 10th – 19th April
Sir Ian Botham will be walking for ten consecutive days through ten different towns in support of Leukaemia Research.  He will begin each day’s walk outside the town’s main M&S Store and then walk to the local park where you can join to complete the walk.  He will be in Central Milton Keynes on day 8 of the walk, Saturday 17th April from 11am the 4 mile public walk begins at 2.30pm and incorporates both Willen Lake and Campbell Park.  It costs £10 to register and you need to raise £250, on the day you will receive refreshments and a well deserved medal.  To enter complete the registration form by visiting www.beefy25.com or call 020 7685 5143.
  
An Englishman in Riyadh – 10th April 11am till 3pm
David Urch is a local author, his book takes you on an adventure and gives an insight on this remarkable country that transformed itself from tents to skyscrapers in a matter of a few decades.  David will be at Waterstone’s at Midsummer Place, Central Milton Keynes signing his book on Saturday 10th April.
 
MK Museum – Are you aged between 14 and 19? Can You Help!
As part of an exciting new project MK Museum is seeking up to 12 young people aged 14-19 years to lead a research and development project investigating how it can be more relevant and interesting to people like you.  You don’t need any previous experience of working in museums, just enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to help and deliver the project.  The project will run from April 2010 to May 2010 and there will be a range of ways to help but you’ll need to be available for occasional meetings early evenings and some weekends during this time.  If you’d like to sign up for the project please email Emma by Monday 12th April with your name, age, address, phone number and availability over the next couple of months to attend approx 6 meetings /training sessions. Women & Work – Flexible Working - The Challenge and Benefits - 21st April, 6:30pm till 8:30pm
