Secklow Gate
Due to the fire at the Market outside thecentre:mk on Wednesday 17th January 2010 Secklow Gate from its junction with Midsummer Boulevard to Silbury Boulevard is now closed to ensure public safety. Access to the service road for thecentre:mk however will remain open. Secklow Gate will remain closed whilst a full inspection of the bridge structure takes place, and following the results of this inspection it may be that the road will remain closed to through traffic until some repair work can be undertaken. Whilst Secklow Gate is closed the alternative route will be via Midsummer Boulevard, Marlborough Gate and Silbury Boulevard and vice versa.

Milton Keynes Partnership
Announces the Milton Keynes Carbon Offset Fund, which enables older homes to improve their energy efficiency through subsidised loft and cavity wall insulation, has received its first contribution from the Milton Keynes Tariff. The payment of £79,118 has come from the completion of the new John Lewis distribution centre at Magna Park in the Eastern Expansion Area.
