Description:
Network Rail is planning to build a new National Centre, approx 38,000sqm in size, which will house a number of the company’s national functions. Its purpose is to bring together these activities in one place to enable them to work more effectively and includes functions such
as information management, property, purchasing and project management.
The development consists of 6 parts - 2 multi-storey carparks and 4 angled office buildings.
It will create a light and airy building complex that will give a real sense of space enabling Network Rail to change the way it works.
The building will be one of the most sustainable in the country and is aiming to achieve a BRREM Excellence Rating.

Development Stage:
Planning Application granted January 2010.
Demolition works commenced late 2009
with full building to commence mid 2010.
Completion Date:
Expected completion date is 2012.
