Robert Goodman, Centre Director, thecentre:mk
                                                                                          
Robert Goodman joined thecentre:mk as Centre Director in March 2007. thecentre:mk is a UK top 10 regional shopping centre of 1.3m sq ft owned by Hermes Real Estate and Prudential.

As Centre Director, Robert leads the management team which is responsible for over 130 centre employees and oversees the smooth running of the centre and its 230 shops, restaurants and cafes employing around 4000 staff.

Robert is a Director of the Milton Keynes Shopping Centre Association Ltd. In the City Centre he is a Director of the Central Milton Keynes Partnership Company Ltd and has recently been appointed to Chair the Operations Group. In a wider role Robert has joined the Board of Destination Milton Keynes Ltd and will be joining the Board of the Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors and Business Leaders in Milton Keynes.
 
Robert joined thecentre:mk from BAA, the worlds leading airport operator, where in his last role as Retail, Marketing and Commercial Contracts Director at Budapest Airport in Hungary he led in the airport acquisition and privatisation process.

He held a number of roles in BAA PLC including Retail Director, BAA Scotland responsible for the retail development at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen Airports. He has also worked at Gatwick Airport and in BAA’s World Duty Free business which included roles at Heathrow and leading retail operations in France.

Prior to airport retailing, Robert gained extensive retail experience with Marks and Spencer PLC in a number of positions in stores and head office including working for a time in Milton Keynes.

He was educated at London University.

Robert lives in Buckinghamshire and is married with two children and enjoys coaching rugby, travelling and skiing.
